Chairman’s Message

By Bill Sims, CPA

The Dallas CPA Society is excited to unveil a new visual identity in 2019! We have a new acronym and new colors, but our brand is backed by the same commitment to connect, protect and advance our members

You’ll notice right away that our chapter has a fresh new logo and name. TXCPA Dallas continues to serve the Dallas area in all the ways you’ve enjoyed throughout your membership. This new name helps extend our brand family across the state and gives us greater recognizability as a statewide network for the profession.

Learn more about the rebrand here.  We hope you’ll find our new look and feel to be reflective of a vibrant organization you’re proud to call your professional home.

One thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to providing the best in Continuing Professional Education for our members. If you’re looking for CPE this month, you can choose from four great opportunities. On July 10th, our Young Professionals Group (YPG) is presenting a Leadership Breakfast featuring speakers Shamoil Shipchandler of Jones Day and Past Chair Tim Pike of Howard LLP. The YPG will also host a CPE event on July 17th where Ramon Santillan, founder of Persuasive Interview, will present Selling Skills for Introverts. Our monthly Ethics class takes place on July 19th, and another in our Controller/CFO CPE Series events, Communicating to Your Board, is scheduled for July 25th.

On July 18th, take a break from your summer schedule and join your friends and colleagues for our Thirsty Thursday social hour at Blue Mesa Grill on Montfort Drive. This event continues to be a member favorite. It’s a great place to expand your contacts, catch up with your old friends and make new relationships.

Stay tuned as we roll out our new look and let us know what you think.

Enjoy your July!
