MEET THE TROOPS
The reviews are in and it was a hit! There was happiness, sadness and indescribable feelings when approximately 25 CPAs and their families went to DFW on the morning of Saturday, August 18. We met early to join the crowd welcoming home 140 soldiers from Iraq. We clapped, shook hands and some of our female CPAs got a hug from the returning soldiers. Although we were there to thank the soldiers for their service, they were most grateful for the warm welcome they received. As the last soldier (whom I believe was an officer) came to the end of the line, he turned and said thank you to us. What a small sacrifice (not sleeping in on Saturday morning) we made compared to theirs. His words resounded in the hallway and made it much more than a CPA event.

It was such a moving experience that we are going to do this again. Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 19. Watch the Visions newsletter for additional information. Love For Kids Christmas Party
All of the toys collected at the Margarita Ball will be distributed to the more than 4,000 children who will attend the Love for Kids Christmas Party on December 8th, 2007 at the Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound. The Dallas CPA Society needs 90 volunteers for this event. Volunteers need to arrive at the Circle R Ranch by 8:30am on the Saturday of the Event. A volunteer party is held following the children's departure at 1pm.
