The Dallas CPA Society of the TSCPA is one of the premier professional associations in the Metroplex. We serve more than 6,200 professionals who work for multinational, regional and local corporations; accounting, consulting and law firms; associations; small businesses; government; educational and other entities across the Metroplex. Our members are executives, chief financial officers, financial advisors and entrepreneurs, as well as public practitioners.

More than ever, being a CPA serves as a strong foundation for a myriad of business careers and unlimited business opportunities.

Protecting the Value of the Certificate - Public Affairs

The Dallas CPA Society is dedicated to monitoring Texas Legislation and continues to play an active role in the Texas Public Accountancy Act.

Providing Meaningful Networking and Social Opportunities - Relationships with Other Professional Organizations and CPA Involvement

The Dallas CPA Society's Relations with Other Professional Organizations Committee (ROPO) coordinates programs throughout the year to provide our membership with significant networking opportunities. Whether it is a joint continuing education program, a happy hour, or dinner, ROPO provides excellent opportunities to network in a non-intimidating environment.

Likewise, the CPA Involvement Committee highlights and supports the charitable and social events in which our membership is involved. Our membership actively supports Love for Kids Christmas party benefiting the Love for Kids, Inc.

Reaching Educators and Students to Encourage Entry into the Profession - Partners in Education

The Dallas CPA Society is re-emphasizing our programs dedicated to encouraging the best and brightest students to become CPAs.

The Partners in Education Committee of the Dallas CPA Society and USA TODAY Education formed a partnership providing free materials, including lesson plans and USA TODAY newspapers to ten selected Metroplex schools. This will assist teachers in promoting financial literacy and incorporating business concepts into their curriculum. CPAs give classroom presentations and attend career fairs promoting accounting. Teachers have access to the DCPAS "Ask A CPA" initiative which allows them to email questions about accounting and receive answers.

Through the Philip Vogel Memorial Scholarship Program, the Dallas CPA Society provides scholarships to accounting students at area colleges. The program's purpose is to provide scholarship assistance to college junior, senior and graduate accounting students who plan to become certified public accountants and enter the accounting profession.

Tax Hotline

In conjunction with the Dallas Morning News, the Dallas CPA Society presents an annual tax hotline where the community can phone in inquiries.

The Dallas Chapter 100 Club - Is Your CPA a Member?

As a part of the Image Enhancement campaign, beginning in 2001 the Dallas CPA Society launched the 100 Club to publicly recognize those firms and companies that have demonstrated a high level of commitment to the Dallas CPA Society. The Club includes firms and companies if 100 percent of their eligible CPAs are members of the Dallas Chapter. The Club listing is publicized throughout the year in a variety of ways. Members are encouraged to use the 100 Club designation in their marketing efforts to show their commitment to the accounting profession.

The Dallas CPA Soiety Lone Star Club

In 2003, the Dallas CPA Society formed the Lone Star Club. The group's purpose is to honor and recognize members who are a licensed practice unit with only one CPA employee.
